I write to understand the shape of my emotions, circumstances, and relationships. Often, this leads to an exploration of what it means to occupy the lived and inherited experiences of a mother, daughter, and woman. Sometimes writing brings me clarity, sometimes it illuminates a moment I found myself preoccupied by, and sometimes it opens space for speculation.
